Release of Search Facilities on Department of Company Affairs Website

Pursuing its endeavour to promote dissemination of corporate information available with the offices of the Registrars of Companies, the Department of Company Affairs jointly with National Informatics Centre has developed following Search Facilities for release on DCA Website. (www.nic.in/dca) for benefit of public in addition to the already available information on the Website.   

 

(a)               Company Directory: This facilitates search on companies (over 5.6 Lacs) registered at the offices of the Registrars of Companies (including foreign companies). Search provides filtering on category of the company and State where company is registered. Result of the search is displayed as registration number, State of registration and name of the company.

 

(b)               Names Approved for Registration: This facilitates search on the names approved by ROCs and are in pipeline for registration of the company.

 

An entrepreneur interested to register a company with ROC may utilize 'company directory ' and 'names approved for registration'  facilities to know whether a company with particular name is already registered or the name has already been approved by ROC for registration of a company before submitting application to the office of ROC. This search will improve the possibility of approval of the name applied and reduce rejections.   

 

(c)               ROC Fee Computation: This facilitates computation of fee charged for various services such as name approval, incorporation of new company, filing of statutory documents etc rendered by ROCs. An entrepreneur by entering required details would get to know the amount which will be required to be deposited along with the application. 

 

(d)               ROC Forms: This facilitates downloading of important forms prescribed in the Companies Act, which are required for application to be submitted to ROCs. Blank forms may be downloaded and printed.

 

(e)               Status of Investors' Grievances: This facility provides latest status in respect of an investor complaint registered with the department. The complainant needs to just enter the complaint number issued by the department while acknowledging the complaint and he would know the latest status of the complaint.

 

The Department envisages to provide more value added services in future for the benefit of public.

 

The Search Facilities on the DCA Website were released by Shri Arun Jaitley, Hon’ble Minister of Law, Justice & Company Affairs at a brief function held here today (4^th April, 2001).
