For certified copy of extracts of other documents, Rule 21A. (8) (ii) of the Companies (Central Government’s) General Rules and Forms, 1956, provide fees of rupees five per page of the document. This rate of fees is effective from 15.7.1988. This fee has not been increased for the last about 11-1/2 years. Also there is no provision in the said rules which stipulate fees to be charged for hard copies to be made from the other documents received by Registrars of Companies on computer readable media. Hence, the Central Government, in exercise of powers conferred by clauses (a) and (b) of sub-section (1) of section 642 of the Companies Act, 1956 ( 1 of 1956) is going to amend the said rules by substituting the existing sub-clause (ii) to clause (8) to Rule 21A of the said rules as under:-

" For copy of extracts of other documents including hard copy of such documents on computer readable media the fee of rupees twenty five per page would be chargeable."

2.The said revision would be effective from 1^st August, 2000.

3.The Notification will be issued shortly.
