PRESS NOTE NO:7/2000

 

Subject:   Revision of Fees – Amendment to Schedule X to the Companies Act and of

    Companies (Central Government’s) General Rules and Forms, 1956

 The rates of Fees payable by companies to the Registrar of Companies for filing etc. of various forms and returns under various provisions of Companies Act, 1956 have been revised with effect from 1^st may, 2000.  This revision has been done by notifying a new SCHEDULE X  in the Gazette of India Extra-ordinary dated 27.4.2000. This Schedule supercedes the earlier Schedule X.  Relevant Notifications (SO No:419(E)) is enclosed.

 

2.          Further Companies (Central Government’s)  General Rules and Forms, 1956 have also been amended for revision of fees in respect of certain matters as shown below:

i)                    For filing of Form 13 under Rule 6(c) the fees has been revised from existing Rs. 10 to Rs.50/-

 

ii)                   For registering any document under rule 20 in pursuance of section 601 of Companies Act, 1956  relating to a foreign company,  the fees has been revised from existing Rs.200/- to Rs.1,000.

 

iii)                  Fees payable under rule 21A(7) to Registrar of Companies for inspecting any document in pursuance of Section 610(1)(a) has been revised from existing Rs.10 to Rs.50/-.

 

iv)                Fees payable under rule 21A(8)(i)  to Registrar of Companies for requiring a certificate of incorporation in pursuance of section 610(1)(b) has been revised from existing Rs.10 to Rs.50/-

 

2.2     Relevant Notification (GSR No:363(E))  relating to amendment in Companies (Central Government’s) General Rules and Forms, 1956 has been issued on 27^th April, 2000.  A copy of this Notifiction is also enclosed.

 

3.       All Companies and Individuals are requested kindly to note these revised rates which will come into effect from 1^st May, 2000.

 

4.    Copies of these two  Notifications and this Press Note has been placed at the Web page of the Department of Company Affairs at the Internet Address http://www.nic.in/dca.
