PRESS NOTE NO:15/99

Subject: Constitution of a Committee to administer the Investor Education and

Protection Fund and to maintain separate accounts and other relevant records

in relation to that Fund.

The Central Government, in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (4) of section 205C of the Companies Act, 1956, has constituted a Committee to administer the Investor Education and Protection Fund. The Fund shall be utilised for the promotion of investor awareness and protection of the interests of investors. The Members of the Committee shall hold office for a period of two years. A Notification constituting the Committee has been issued today.

 

2. The Committee will consist of:
