ORDER

 

            In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (4B) of Section 10E of the Companies Act, 1956 (1 of 1956) read with Regulation 4 of the Company Law Board Regulations, 1991 and in supersession of order of even number dated 19.12.2000 and in continuation of order of even number dated 23.8.1999 the Company Law Board hereby constitutes an additional Principal Bench at Chennai for the purpose of exercising and discharging its powers and functions in the manner specified below:-

 

(a)  Matter falling under sections 235, 237, 247, and 250, and matters falling under Chapter VI of Part VI of the Companies Act, 1956 and all other matters incidental thereto, shall be dealt with by the Additional Principal Bench at Chennai consisting of not less than two Members from amongst the following provided that ordinarily the Chairman or the
Vice-Chairman shall be a member of the Bench:-

 

1.      Sh. Justice A.K. Banerji, Chairman.

2.      Sh. S. Balasubramanian, Vice-Chairman.

3.      Sh C.R. Mehta, Member

4.      Sh. C.R. Das, Member

5.      S. K.K. Balu, Member

6.      Dr. A.K. Doshi, Member

 

In terms of Regulations 4(4) of Company Law Board Regulation, 1991, interlocutory and miscellaneous applications may be heard and decided by a Bench consisting of a Single Member.

       The jurisdiction of the Additional Principal Bench, Chennai shall be the States of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Union Territories of Pondicherry and Lakshadweep Islands.

The Bench may,  sit at such places in the Southern Region as may be convenient in exercise of its powers and functions.

       This order shall come into force with immediate effect.
