NOTIFICATION

                               New Delhi, the 24^th April, 2001    

 

G.S.R. 281(E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section  (1) of section 642, read with clause (d) of sub-section (1) of section 209 of the Companies Act, 1956 (1 of 1956), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to  amend  the Cost Accounting Records (Mini Steel Plant) Rules, 1990, namely :-

               

1                  (1) These rules may be called the Cost Accounting Records          (Steel Plant) Amendment Rules, 2001.

               

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their                             publication in the Official Gazette.

               

2.              In the Cost Accounting Records  (Mini Steel Plant) Rules, 1990, -

 

(a) in the short title, for the brackets and words “(Mini Steel Plant)”, the brackets and words “(Steel Plant)”  shall be substituted ;

 

(b) for rule 2, the following rule shall be substituted, namely,

 

“2 Application: These rules shall apply to every company engaged in the production, processing or manufacture of steel and steel products excepting those companies falling under the category of Small Scale Industrial undertakings.”
