NOTIFICATION

 

S.O.1144(E) –  WHEREAS the State of Chhattisgarh has been formed on and from the appointed day being the first day of November, 2000 by the Madhya Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2000 ( 28 of 2000);

 

          AND WHEREAS the State of Uttaranchal has been formed on and from the appointed day being the 9^th day of November, 2000 by the Uttar Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2000 ( 29 of 2000);

 

AND WHEREAS the State of Jharkhand has been formed on and from the appointed day being the 15th day of November, 2000 by the Bihar  Reorganisation Act, 2000 ( 30 of 2000);

 

          AND WHEREAS  the Central Government has felt necessity of appointing the Registrar of Companies in the State of Chhattisgarh, the State of Uttaranchal and the State of Jharkhand;

 

NOW, THEREFORE,  in exercise of powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 609 of the Companies Act, 1956 (1 of 1956), the Central Government hereby directs that there shall be offices at   Gwalior, Kanpur and Patna for the purposes of the registration of companies under the said Act in the States of Chhattisgarh, Uttaranchal and Jharkhand  and appoints the Registrars of Companies Gwalior, Kanpur and Patna as Registrars for the registration of companies under the said Act in the said three States of Chhattisgarh, Uttaranchal and Jharkhand respectively.
