I am directed to forward herewith a copy of the Notification (Number GSR 727 (E)) published in the Gazette of India (Extraordinary) on 18.9.2000 through which officers of Securities and Exchange Board of India have been authorised under Section 621 of the Companies Act, 1956 in respect of certain offences punishable under various provisions of the Companies Act, 1956.
